THE BEGINNING OF A NEVER-ENDING CELEBRATION
Bachpan Kids Wear was founded in 2004 by a retail expert with 40 years of experience, who identified a market gap: during major occasions, kids’ attire was often compromised with purchases from MBOs or family shopping centres. This led to the idea of exclusive party wear stores for children, from tots to teens.
Now completing 20 years, Bachpan has grown into a chain of 12 stores across Hyderabad (Central – 3, South – 1, North – 1, East – 2, West – 2), Vijayawada, Guntur, and Nellore (AP).
This Hyderabad-based undivided family business is now led by second-generation entrepreneurs and qualified tech professionals, under their father’s guidance. Bachpan is a Platinum Member of CMAI (The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India) and also part of the Telangana Hosiery Association.
THE PEOPLE
Quality and consistency have been the fundamentals of Bachpan while innovation and customisation as per regional demands remain the growth drivers. Now Bachpan is a family of 300+ crew and part of the global supply network of kids’ fashion goods.Â

Bachpan B&M stores are well managed with the support of advanced inventory for centralised supply management and CRM support and the chain is going to be integrated with its online platforms – a dedicated site and marketplace stores.Â
Bachpan is well equipped with the centralised stock handling facility of 10000 sq ft at Vanashthalipuram, Hyderabad and supported by the teams of efficient store managers, marcom, IT for sales and CRM, and branding / fabrication professionals.

In terms of range, the business outperforms any partywear outlet for men / women and competes with any kids wear wholesaler; because of its inherent nature wherein each design comes in 10 plus sizes and three colours and different patterns. The retail chain presents a super-premium collection too, priced between Rs 8,000 and Rs 50,000.Â

With the addition of trendy collection of footwear, casuals, toys, and accessories across seven more B&M stores (including Bachpan owned premises in Himayatnagar and Tolichowki), the retail brand has become a sought-after point for kids who wish to don something cool, before anybody does.Â

Now the merchant brand enjoys the patronage of around 1 lakh parents who look for diversity and the best for their children.Â

FROM EVERYTHING FOR KIDS TO EVERYWHERE WITH KIDSÂ
Bachpan has come up with a revolutionary idea of dedicated experience zones for interaction of children from various ethnic communities and demographic layers.Â

Through Bachpan 20 program, the stores are evolving into personalised spaces for kids with product experience zone, inspiration and innovation corner, fun and recreation spot, a party/event zone, and a refreshment cafe.Â

The objective of the division is to highlight the unique merits of kids regardless of their patronage, what they wear and how they perform in their day-to-day life.Â
Out of 12 locations 6 are going to be equipped with the roof-top cafe space and infrastructure at Vijayawada, Nellore, Guntur, Himayatnagar, Tolichowki, and Gachibowli.Â

With inclusion of Bachpan labels and kids’ participation in future programs, Bachpan shall emerge as a cult zone for Indian Kids, a seamless extension to fashion.
